What does
it mean to be a member of Congregation Etz Hadar?
In a dictionary, “member” means to be a distinct part
of a
whole or to belong to an organization.
Your affiliation
with our community means that you have access to a religious
school in which to educate your children. A chance for
you to learn more about what it means to be Jewish.
Social time with family and friends. Access to inspiring
religious leaders and friendly inclusive services which
will bring you closer to your Jewish roots.
Etz Hadar
has been the committed, nurturing home for Conservative
Judaism in the Inland Empire for 23 years. The volunteer
Board, dedicated members, and professional leadership
have made this possible.
This is
the time of year when we ask for your help to keep Etz
Hadar a thriving Jewish center. As we have shared in
the past, the annual cost to run the synagogue is about
$1,000 per adult. All we ask for membership is that
you give what you can. Every dollar is put to good use
and appreciated.
While giving
money is great, we need your participation too. Become
a volunteer. We’ve got all kinds of opportunities for
putting your talents to work. It’s good for your soul.
By living Jewish values, raising Jewish kids, and doing
good works, you are providing for the future of the
Jewish people. Take a look at what Etz Hadar has to
offer. There’s something here for everyone.
Please
fill out this Membership Commitment form and send it
back. Please let us know how many people you’ll be bringing
for High Holidays next month. We’ll make sure we have
seats for everyone. A warm welcome is waiting for you.
Thank you
for your thoughtful donation! I look forward to seeing
you soon. The Board joins me in wishing you a happy,
healthy New Year. Shanah
Tova!
