UCR Hillel dinner at Etz Hadar November 8 Students from Hillel at the University of California at Riverside and their guests had dinner at Etz Hadar on Friday, November 8, prior to Kabbalat Shabbat services. Pictures from the event can be found here. See if you can spot a former UCR Hillel officer (now living in San Diego) and a current University of Redlands Hillel officer in the pictures. Both have been regular Shabbat attendees at Etz Hadar. Want to host your dinner at Etz Hadar? Contact Janice Yellon at jyellon@earthlink.net for more information. Shofar Factory September 18 Bet Sefer Hadarim yeladim, teachers, and parents were treated to a shofar factory at Congregation Etz Hadar on September 18. We thank Chabad for putting on the factory in which students were able to create their own shofarot for use during the recent High Holy Days. Pictures from the event can be found here. CEH alumni in pictures An avid photographer caught Shayna Yellon and Aaron Malki, CEH grads and coeds at The University of Oregon in Eugene, OR. The picture can be found here. Leadership 5769 Congregation Etz Hadar is currently working on a plan of monthly or bimonthly "Scholars in Residence" to work with Cantor Michael Rumack to create interesting Shabbatons (lead our traditional monthly Rabbi's Shabbat services and programs) for the balance of the year. We will keep the Congregation informed of our progress. Cantor Rumack is designing "celebrations" and programs for holidays in 5769 for Bet Sefer Hadarim yeledim and congregants and friends of Etz Hadar.
